Passage of Government’s resolution to support enterprises

On 16 May 2016, the Government promulgates Resolution No. 35/NQ-CP on supporting and developing enterprises by 2020.

The Resolution 35 purports to make Vietnamese enterprises more competitive and develop more sustainably. In essence, the Resolution 35 emphasizes and protects legal property ownership rights and business freedom rights of enterprises. Enterprises have business freedom rights to carry out business lines that are not prohibited by law.

To accomplish the above goals, the following measures need implementing:

  • publishing administration reforms policies;
  • creating an enabling environment to support start-up business, innovative business;
  • ensuring business rights, equality rights to approach resource and opportunities business of enterprises;
  • reducing business costs for enterprises; and
  • protecting lawful rights and interests of enterprises.
